FYI – Roadtripping like this isn’t for everybody, but for the life enthusiasts, free spirits, born explorers, this is an adventure that must be experienced—it’s eye-opening, enlightening, invigorating, elating, and yes, sometimes a bit terrifying.
SETTING OFF ON OUR MEGA ROADTRIP
We started this journey for many reasons, but the biggest ones include:
- Explore new places we’ve never experienced
- Discover local experts who have created epic & unique experiences
- And find a cool new place to plant some roots for a while
DO THAT THING PEOPLE CALL “CRAZY”
Sometimes you’ve just got to do that thing other people say is “crazy” and take the risk leaping into the unknown. If you really think about it, life is most interesting when you keep one foot in order and one foot in chaos, anyway.
THE MAGIC OF OUR MEGA ROADTRIP
We’ve experienced all the highs and lows on this trip. From the bad—Karl (our handy, dandy road home) breaking down in Tallahassee to experiencing the most terrifying 12 hours of our lives sheltered in place in Rotonda West during Hurricane Ian.
To the good—meeting new friends, exploring new places, trying new foods, discovering the coolest local experiences, and connecting with all our amazing EXPLORINGNOTBORING Partners throughout the United States . . .
Don’t worry Sarah @ Laugh Healthy, we’ll get to you, but Minnesota is going to have to wait until after Winter 🥶 We’re acclimated to this hot ass Florida weather now! ☀️
The truth is adventuring on the road 24/7 is an epic journey. We’re super grateful for our girl Erin who turned us onto housesitting the week we set out on the road.
Not only has housesitting provided us some stability, it has also connected us to some super cool, down-to-earth locals who know all the secret spots, good eats, and local knowledge of the places we want to check out.
It’s provided us a shortcut to discovering the best these places have to offer ✨
