SETTING OFF ON OUR MEGA ROADTRIP
Roadtripping like this isn’t for everybody, but for the life enthusiasts, free spirits, born explorers, this is an adventure that must be experienced—it’s eye-opening, enlightening, invigorating, elating, and yes, sometimes a bit terrifying.
We started this journey for many reasons, but the biggest ones include:
- Explore new places we’ve never experienced
- Discover local experts who have created epic & unique experiences
- And find a cool new place to plant some roots for a while
Yeeeah, this lifestyle can be hard sometimes, and HOTTT! 🥵 But it’s an experience we wouldn’t trade for the world. And trust us, living on the road is no picnic. It’s a 24/7 Monday and Saturday. Do the math on that one!
THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF OUR ROADTRIP
For every challenging moment—car troubles, Texas heat, non-potable water, gun shots in the night, creepy men barging into your campsite to talk about their days in the army as sniper, a complete lack of any wardrobe (only 14 shirts can get pretty stale 3-9 months in), and of course, we can’t miss this one—the racism & bigotry that still infects the South—there are 10,000 moments you smile and say . . .
“CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?”
The blips don’t even begin to compare to the highs and freedom of the road.
So, yeeeah, this lifestyle can be hard sometimes, but isn’t living your best life on Earth worth a little discomfort? It’s amid discomfort that we expand our dimensions.
SO, DO THAT THING PEOPLE SAY IS “CRAZY”
Sometimes you’ve just got to do that thing other people say is “crazy” and take the risk leaping into the unknown. If you really think about it, life is most interesting when you keep one foot in order and one foot in chaos, anyway.
HOW TO BECOME FILTHY RICH ON A ROADTRIP
If we count all the friends we’ve made on this trip, all the places we’ve seen, all the delicious food we’ve eaten, all the sunrises and sunsets, all the adventures, and all the opportunities that have developed through the local connections we’ve made—This trip has made us filthy rich!
You know that old adage, “Money can’t buy happiness”?
Well, here’s a new proverb for ya . . . You can buy happiness with social capital!
Oxytocin, a hormone released by the paraventricular nucleus within the hypothalamus, stimulates dopamine release during social interactions.
